I love this app, but it wont update.

I give this app two thumbs up because it does everything that its advertised to do. Its fun, diverse, I LOVE the personalized avatars, and it puts a smile on the faces of those who receive my bitmoji.

My only issue is the updates. They wont download. This app is the only one with which I have this problem. A message pops up after some time that says, "Bitmoji failed to upload. Please try again." This is each time it tries to update. What should I do? I dont want the app to malfunction because its an outdated app without the current updates.
